You should go. Wendover is always a good time.
Grippy concrete
Staying in Las Vegas.
Bonneville Salt Flats
Grippy concrete
Enola Gay and the history
Casinos
Grippy concrete
Of course there are some downsides-
Can get very windy
rocks
Not many places to get good food there except the casinos
nightlife

All the regular National types will probably be there. We will.

Is camping allowed at the airfield?

Yes, but... when I think of camping I think of tents. there are only concrete and rocks on site. So, if you are planning to sleep on the ground, be prepared.

They lock the gate pretty early too, so if you stay on site you're stuck there and can't go to dinner with friends, hit the casinos, see John Tesh perform in the Wendover Theatre, or brave the strip club. Last year, I grabbed Arby's with Craig then came back to the trailer and watched the Lakers game alone.

Whereas, I had a delicious steak dinner with the Berry's and then won $700 in 2008 and $400 in 2009 on the most generous slots at the Montego Bay.

And for tent campers that don't mind concrete, check the weather report, as last year's Wendover event on 4/25-26, had snow falling on Saturday morning

. In late May, it should be nice, expect it to be between 45 and 100 ;)

I would gladly sleep on rocks or concrete if it meant I didn't have to see John Tesh perform...
Still on the fence for Wendover, though.

My first year going to Wendover (2002), was in the S2000 - took a wrong turn past Vegas and went all the way to SLC. Oops. Hurriedly arrived as the sun was setting. Began making a front swaybar change, lots of people around, nice and warm out despite it getting dark. Take my time changing bar at relaxed pace. By the time I crawl out from under car, everyone is gone! Lower the car off jacks and attempt to find my way out, gate is locked!
Didn't get a good lay of the land on the way in but the hotel doesn't look too far away, so I grab my backpack and head out on foot. Hop the world's most rickety chain-link fence just as it begins to rain?!? Still warm out though so it's kinda nice. Begin way through pitch black fields or yards or something. Wait, wasn't this a base where they stored nuclear stuff? Big and mean sounding dogs barking at me from the darkness, trying not to trip over stuff anything, explosive or otherwise. Hotel is much further away than it looks. Eventually make it inside, after having probably committed a few counts of misdemeanor tresspassing. Nothing like a long night of drinking and gambling after an 11 hour drive and 1 hour hike!
Wendover is always an adventure, wouldn't miss it. The following year's highlight was being stranded in the middle of Nevada 150 miles from any town, in the middle of the night in a dead-alternator STS Civic, precious little battery life left in the phone with which to communicate with my rescuers, when Ken calls drunk off his ass, from the basement of some weird bar in NYC and won't shut up about it...since then I've preferred to tow...

Hmmmm, Tequila & Mario Kart....now that's gonna be fun! However; I draw the line at "Just Dance". There's more than enough youtube video from our SuperBowl party.

WooHoo!
We need more people to store between the weekends! I want pics of my rig inside the Enola Gay hanger!
****Parking/Storage between the Tour and ProSolo - Storage will be available on site for a fee of $25 per vehicle (outside) for the week. If there is enough participation the Enola Gay hanger may be available for $600-$700 total.
Apparently there are going to be evo schools during the week between if anybody is thinking about things to do between the weekend. Now somebody talk Stacey into running these, she's never been to the Wendover experience.

lol at CalClub's sense of humor. Wendover is a great event made even better by the people who go and the remoteness of the location.
