$229 vs $299 ... starting today, runs 10 days I believe.
It's the Helmet Package ... which DOES however come with a bag of flat and curved surfaces attachment points. You can buy/order the Suction Cup, Tripod mount, Roll Bar mount, bike handle mount, etc. etc. separately. REMEMBER to buy a SDHC card! I'm going to experiment with a new Eye-Fi card ... SD card with built-in WiFi ... to wirelessly send image/video to a laptop.
If you found it challenging to program your VCR ... what's the "modern" day equivalent? ... then be prepared to never lose the instructions! Two buttons control something like 60 functions.

My main issue with this brand (I had one) is the two small buttons and teeny tiny icons that told you what the buttons were doing. Needed a magnifing glass to make sense out of it. Age/eyesight thing I guess, still.

This place (currently out of stock) has had it for $213 since at least February with free shipping and no tax to California:

Instructions are probably online, at least I'd hope so.

Just get a younger co-driver---QV can see the small icons!! But, on the other hand, the video mode is the default mode, so you turn it on (front button) and start to record (top button). All the other settings should be done before you attach it to the mount....

2-6% to allow them to "treat all your information in keeping with the Microsoft privacy statement" ???
ewwwww! Yeah. It's money, but I feel dirty just having visited Bing to see what you were talking about.

I've already saved hundreds of dollars using Bing. Most of the savings came from discounts in the 15-25% range on high-dollar items.

The camera produced wonderful HD footage this weekend of Karen at Willow Springs. A problem getting them imported to my MacBook Pro, perhaps a Bad Kitty issue, ie. Snow Leopard. I ended up only being able to use iPhoto ... which makes Sharing the footage a bit more problematic. Per GoPro Support, that shouldn't have happened?
