anyone have personal experience with any of these seats? Interested in long term quality, durability? Interested in daily driving comfort and solo performance. Especially interested in feedback from larger, 40"+ waisted drivers, and tall drivers. Specifically looking for info on Corbeau, I have tried the Sparco, Cobra and Momo, my issues are size but more importantly fit in a C4 corvette. Some of the seats company's mentioned have products that will fit but they cost as much as a pair of the Corbeau and require seat brackets from other manufactures that cost as much as the seat.

My objectives are 3 fold. Gain 1"+ of headroom, bring the shoulder belts through the headrest rather than around, new seat for the passenger side as the electrical is out on that side and it's stuck in super tight small.

I had the Cobra Suzuka GT, the wide bodies ... which ended up being a bit loose for my 38" wide body ... didn't really work for me with my helmet on. The seat back/top pushed my head down/forward. Because of my short arms I couldn't tilt it back far enough. Those use to be quite popular with our AX community.

Yep, I stopped by Sube and the guy there was very nice and helpful. They did have a non-reclining seat that would fit, but you have to use the Pafdt mounts which are non-slider and you gain maybe a 1/2 inch. I don't really want to spend $2K on seats. Outside my budget. I can buy the Corbeau's for $350 passenger side, and $400 for the driver side. The driver side includes cut out for sub-belt, bottom shaved 1" and the mounting bracket. I just don't want to order a custom seat and find out I am to wide to fit it. I haven't found anyone with a Corbeau in stock. The other advantage of the Corbeau is that I can have the reclining version in a C4, not true of any of the seats Sube had.

I can live with my drivers seat, the passenger seat has to go however. "got keep my sponsor happy"

I wonder if you go to the BMW Auto Cross at CA Speedway on Sunday ... you can find a number of seats in cars ... that I would think the owners would let you try out?

(I wonder how the BMW Club got permission for Hooters to cater the event ... in "Lot 12" ?!)
