Here's what you need to do ...

Try to get the car completely sideways in the slalom ....


You will hear the tires screaming, don't panic, just start jerking the steering back and forth like this...


Then just mash the gas pedal as far as it will go into the floor board


Am I close, is that what you guys are talking about:

1) First, you stick your right foot out
2) Then, you put your right foot in
3) Then, you wiggle it all about

When you are driving a Subi:

Tom has very quick hands and aggressive inputs; this is the fast way to drive the car.

I have slow hands, I fact I barely move. Choosing to work with the rhythm of the car; this is the slow way.

If you ever get to drive a know car, prepared to to the letter of the class and on "New" tires, drive like Tom.

Now, if I had been on raggedy ass, "Old" tires I would have been a contender. But we will never know.

BTW, gotta say thanks to Chuck Fowler for letting me thrash around his STI. He left before I had a chance to thank him (again). And thanks just for being a super nice guy all day long! Great event all around.
