Loser has to buy lunch/dinner though... }:)

I was just so excited to get the word out. Jim Hall is still getting up to speed on this venture.

No problem, we were on our way back from visiting family in Santa Barbara anyway. Funny thing is that I took everyone to the OLD track location first (near the power plant north of Ventura), not realizing that they had moved. Not a trace of the old facility left. Must have been an expensive restoration.

I of course was looking forward to getting my boy back into a cart ...

The new track looks nice and big ... looking forward to trying it out in the future. We go up to SB pretty frequently.

I've been to their track a few times now, and it's definitely too small for cars. You would barely be able to take a line that differs from the one you're forced to use following the pavement. Plus, those colorful barriers set up outside the turns are filled with water...they'd defintely do damage to car's bodywork, and there are bumps in the track that tend to nudge you in their direction. Great track for karts, though!

I just got back from Track Time. They were open on the 4th. Closed up shop around 6:45 PM. Wish I would have known when to meet you there. Just too tired and slept the day away.. :sleepy:

I had the track to myself and only ran a 34.347 second lap, third best of the week..
Top time of the week is 33.815 so far. (Jim Hall has the track record of 33.000  )

Planning on going again on Thursday after work around 5:30 PM.

note: They are closed on Monday and Wednesday :computer:
