I use the MaxQdata logger with an Asus A626 pocket pc. It's worked for two years, but suddenly the Asus is "not a recognized USB device". This happened a couple days ago while trying to synch to download MaxQ data to my laptop (Vista Home 32-bit). I noticed as it attempted to connect, a dialog box popped up lower right screen saying something about loading drivers. I never requested the new drivers. Now they just won't connect and following on-screen instructions just takes me to "replace the device". Don't think so.

I'm not a computer guy -- I just push the buttons people tell me to. Where to from here?

Try a different USB port on the computer (not just a different port on a usb hub), preferably one that's not "twinned" to the one it's plugged into now - try front-vs-rear or vice-versa to be sure. When Windows sees the same device on the same port, it can assume that the drivers are already loaded. Sometimes putting the device on a different port will make it load from a "fresher" state.

I had a PC get USB confusion this week when it came out of sleep mode and I had to do a full, power-down and restart (not just a reboot).
