Mea Culpa

bicycle art project. I quickly browsed through the forum post that was sent and laughed out loud at the absurdity and the amount of work that went into a 1:1 PVC + foil over bicycle frame GT3 RS. I had “lol’d” and wanted other people to also, so I did what I usually do: I shared the link on Solo2 as quickly as I could. I wanted to drum up some chatter!
Unfortunately, the pictures were posted on what I would later find out to be a forum connected to an adult pornography blog in Spanish. All the Spanish and user signatures I usually gloss over when scrolling through posts quickly came back to bite me and they bit me hard: each signature picture progressively grew more lewd and gross as you scrolled down. My last name might be Spanish, but I obviously cannot read any.
Fail.
Theo notified me that this was NSFW, so I edited the post and make quick jokes at Theo about how the surrounding content (but not the content itself) was NFSW.
I left to get some Thai food with a friend and work on his Civic.
While I was away, I was contacted by the e-board and given a very thorough ass whupping.
I had good intentions. I wanted to share a funny link quickly & I wanted to drum up some conversation on one of my favorite forums.
But,
I also had plenty of failure: In my haste to share: I didn’t check the full content of the thread. I thought that NSFW in the title would be sufficient to protect CSCC members. And lastly, I failed to check what kind of forum the post was hosted on. The post was hosted on the Spanish pornography forum Alrincon with a thread titled: Ver tema - Briconsejo del día
If you are still curious about the original post that caused this and want to see the content as I had seen it, contact me directly, but the link will NOT be posted on Solo2 Forums.
KJ let me know that the build and even a VIDEO of the thread spread earlier this year.
“Google is your friend,” KJ told me.
While the post was fresh on the website I was given, it’s not fresh on the internet. The story was broken in June 2010.
I made a mistake and I am sorry.
I would still like to share the old news I found, so I have taken KJ’s advice and made friends with google.
I found some CLEAN links to share with the CSCC:
If you are a 1-link type of person and only want to see the build photos in a blog post format, click here:

If you want a small write-up and a link to the hilarious video KJ was talking about, click here for the Wired.com article:

If you want to skip that all and just watch the video,

Again, let this be a warning to everyone:
