Attn : Plumbers and other know it alls

I have shower issues.

My shower is leaking from the inside wall pipe where it joins the nice shiny piece that comes through the wall where you connect your shower head to.

This is leading to leaking thru my garage ceiling as water collects on that inside wall.

The inside pipe is quite corroded and gunky, and I can't seem to get a good enough screw in with the connecting pipe to stop it leaking, despite using plumbers tape. Is there some good way of cleaning/rethreading that internal pipe, so I can get more than one turn on the connecting piece?

Thx!

Might try getting a short piece of regular pipe to thread in there to clean it out since it is much beefier than the chrome pipe and you can use a pipe wrench or vice grips on it. I'm sure there are taps for that size, but probably expensive.

Solution - call a plumber!!

They will come round on Monday and re-thread the pipe!

Take a picture of it Max. There might be an easy solution I can suggest.

Sometimes is just a matter of rerouting the thingy over the dufatchy.

Max, without a new fandangel to attach the thingy, you're pretty much scr*wed. The good news is your dufatchy looks OK. If you decide to do the work yourself, you should probably pick up a gangly wrench and a snavel bar. Just a suggestion.

WARNING.....WARNING.....Since Max's shower is out of order for the weekend, I suggest approaching him slowly if you must have close contact with him at the event. And you may want to think twice about asking for a ride along.

Good news - I have a 2nd shower, the "Peters/Rowse Memorial shower"... so named as they are the only people who have used it in the last two years.

Even better news, the cleaners have thoroughly disinfected it since their last drunken visit.

Max, your first step is to get your camera in working order!

Seriously, I have no idea what that is a picture of.

It's the pipe in the wall that the shower nozzle thingy connects to!

Might want to call the ghost hunters Jason and Grant, they work for Roto Rooter and it looks like something died in there. My be paranormal activity in your shower.
