Axxis Ultimates Vs Carbotech AX6 or XP8

I need some opinions on this.

I have had the Axxis ultimates pads on my car for the last 5 years. I was always happy with them but now that I need to replace them I want to know if there is something better out there.
I hear a lot of good things about the Carbotech pads and I want the opinion of someone that have tried both the ultimates and the Carbotech AX6 or XP8.

This is for my miata - 2100lbs 306whp (turbo) and is mostly driven in auto-x events (SSM class) on Hoosier A6 275/35/15 tires.

Overall I'm happy with my brake set up - stock 1,8 brakes, Motul 5.1, SS lines, Wilwood brake proportional valve and NO ABS.
If there is something that I would like to improve would be the modulation of the brakes - not that it's bad as it is but if I can get better modulation this would be beneficial for the life of my soft and expensive hoosier tires.

Please let me know what do you think.

PS No, I don't care about the dust or other superficial things like that :P

AX6 pads are great, IMO, they are similar to the Axxis Ultimates but more aggressive on initial bite which doesn't allow much modulation. I'd be careful about the dust on the AX6 though, they will bake onto your rims. :(

On another note, comparing the Stoptech Pads to the Axxis Ultimate Brake Pads on the civic, the Stoptech Pads are way more linear then the Axxis Ultimates.

Thank you Jeff, that's good info!
Which model from the Stoptech pads were you using?

Stoptech only makes one type of brake pad and that is "Street Performance." PM me if you are interested in a set.
