Should be interesting. We may want to do something to help novices find us, as Speed Ventures will be running an autocross at Auto Club Speedway (infield) the same Saturday and Sunday we are there.

When people unfamiliar with our events enter the gate on Cherry, the guard asks where they're going, what event. What they answer determines the directions given.

That may work, but they are coming exactly the same direction until they reach the media credential building, where we turn left and they continue straight into the infield area. We may get a few visitors we didn't expect on Saturday, which would be good. If were lucky we will get a few drop in's on Sunday as well.
Last time I ran a SV auto cross they had a light turnout with some 80 plus cars. They only run autocross twice a year, and it's mainly a young crowd. Just good to know that we have two groups in the neighborhood.

Actually they turn right, but more important, if someone drives to the wrong place it will get sorted out. We've dealt with having an event alongside several others before.

We could put out a sign... Fast drivers to left, slow drivers to infield.

Great, I'll get confused instead.

I don't think they ever had more than 60, and 45 is typical. Also, there's 4 weekends of SV autoxing on their calendar right now.
If the SCCA guys get lost, they'll figure it out real fast when SV asks for $$ at the entrance. I'll let the SV gate guys know the SCCA race is going too so they can point people back in the right direction.
