Leaving the car overnight at Cal Speedway?

Hi everyone,

We will be running both the practice and championship next weekend, so I was thinking of leaving one of our cars at the Cal Speedway overnight -- just so I don't have to put 150 extra miles on it and waste gas.

Has anyone done this before? Is it safe to leave the car there?

Thanks,
Max

Yes, people leave cars overnight. I believe it's safe. Our car has been left overnight too.

Thanks, Stephen. That would work great.

You should look at price lining a room for Saturday night. We live 75 miles away too and the hotel cost is so close to break-even on gas, it isn't worth driving.

In Off Topic there is a thread about Priceline & local hotels

Just booked my room on Priceline. Best Western in Ontario for $50 total (bid of $39 on priceline). You can usually get a 3* place for around 40-45 near the Ontario Mills mall, I've gotten them as cheap as $32 in the past.

Thanks for your suggestions! I though hotel would be more expensive, but it is definitely worth it, especially for as low as $30-50.
