2011 San Diego National Tour
Qualcomm Stadium

Site Address: Qualcomm Stadium*9449 Friars Rd*San Diego, CA 92108

Entry Cap: 325

Staff Hotel: Holiday Inn* 3805 murphy Canyon Rd* San Diego, CA 92123*858-278-9300* Mention SCCA to get a rate of $109/night.
Site Restrictions: Sound limit is 93db@50'. This sound limit supercedes the sound limit listed in Appendix I of the 2011 Solo rules.

RV Camping is allowed in the pit area. No hookups available. A trolley is available on site to go to meals, shopping, etc.

Bottom Line: There have been rumors for years that the site may be lost due to sound or development. While it seems secure for the time being, if you want to run here, you would be wise not to wait.

The Tire Rack® SCCA Solo National Tour Road to Lincoln takes National Solo on the road to various locations around the country. These events average over 275 drivers from a wide geographical area, with most of the competitors coming from nearby states. These drivers come together to get a taste of the "Nationals" experience of competition and camaraderie as these events are presented in a format similar to that found in Lincoln.

The competition at a National Tour takes place over two days on two separate courses, like Solo Nationals. The first day, competitors each get three runs or chances to drive one of the courses and on the second day they get three runs on the other course. Like any other Solo competition, runs are timed to 1/1000th of a second and knocking a cone down means a penalty of 2 seconds added to that time. The best times from each course are added together for the final class standings. All classes at National Tours are the same, standard Solo classes that you’ll find at Solo Nationals and as defined by the SCCA in the Solo Rulebook.

Standard Registration $130

Early Registration $94 (ends 3/18/2011)

Formula Junior (under 16) $60

Just curious if anyone else was charged the standard registration fee instead of the early registration fee when they signed up for the Tour this past weekend or earlier through MotorsportsReg. I have to get a refund check from Nancy Downing since they can't process refunds through MotorsportsReg.

If you are a licensed SSS, please select Safety as your work position. I'm the Chief for this event, knowing I've always got good coverage is excellent piece of mind.
Thanks!

I checked that off as my assignment, but if I wind up Evo instructing on Friday, my work assignment will be satisfied.

Oh nuts. Just realized I mixed up the Tour and Pro and signed up for the Pro last week, not the Tour. Now I have to pay the stupid extra $36 to enter. :( If selling T-shirts didn't help cover my costs, I probably wouldn't go.

Don't think I'd do all long sleeve, but I can take special orders. They do cost a little more.

Maybe I used the wrong terminology. I was referring to kids that like to wear their pants below their a**. I stare in wonderment. Their the people most likely to have to take off running from cops or adversaries and they're main concern in life seems to be holding their pants up. Cracks me up when I see it. Glad to see the trend is waning.

You turn up at the T&T course, smack Warrren on the ass, and buy some tickets.
