Handicapped Autocrossers

I never paid much attention to what the rules are for disabled autocrossers. With the tour and Pro coming up I need to get straight what the options are. I could never make it around a course on crutches, my shoulders make it almost impossible to use them.
Bike? Scooter? Wheelchair? Furniture dolly? Shopping cart?
And I'll need one of those LFB with a slash stickers.
Do need prior permission to pursue and option if there is one? Do I need a doctors note?

We have had experience with this... both from co-driving with Jerry Lamb and Kristi breaking her foot at the pro finale several years ago. Talk to the Chief Steward/event staff and get special permission to ride around the course on the appropriate vehicle at WALKING speed. no big deal

Worst case we get a loaner wheel chair and I will volunteer to push you around the course.

Thanks Keith. So, a scooter is okay as long as I do the walking pace. I'd want to walk pace anyway so Will can tell me how to drive!
For local events, I assume we consider the Event Chair the go to guy.
Next instruction is for the course designers to NOT DO THIRD GEAR COURSES this year. Thank you. I think I can manage a soft clutch press one 1-2 shift. That's about all...
If this doesn't heal, then I need to figure out how to get Jerry Lamb's upper body strength.

Step one, FS Mustang with auto-Trans. Everything else will just call into place after that i'm sure. ;)

That is not an auto... Neither was his DS bimmer. ;)

Clutchless sequential box in an FP Bimmer with a CO2 operated clutch to start?

F125 uses a hand clutch.
My formula ford only requires the clutch at the start.
Stacey's 335 would make a good sk car.
Bill Martin's CP Mustang only has two pedals.

I'm thinking Keisel's car would be good with a medium stall race converter and a race manual shift Powerglide.

LOL, yeah, I'll give Steve a piggy-back ride on the mountain uni - the extra weight will make it more stable

You get good upper body strength if you have to bench press yourself to move around...
I've tried driving the Mustang with the hand controls... no chance in hell i would be anywhere near as good as Jerry.
