Has anyone mounted tires w/ damaged beads (similar or worse than below)?

The price is right on these if they will hold air...

I'll defer to those with a lot more knowledge, but I think they can...

they should hold air long enough to make it through a 60 second lap.

I would buy them. If they leak it would be small/slow. One of the tires on my work truck looks like those, I add air about one a week.

Kinda depends on what you plan on doing with them. At the track with a replacement handy, probably. I had one like that on my SUV. Went quite a while with no problem. But of course when it choose to fail it was on Ortega highway (which has very few spots you can get off the road) in the pouring rain. And the back of the car was packed with my usual support stuff for the kart, so getting to the spare was not an easy thing.

Yes, Bill, you can say "I told you so."

I say they will work.
Try putting a little bead sealer on the bad spot.

I am not a fan of the stuff, but if they start to leak you could always shoot some stop leak stuff in the valve. I bet that'll seal her up good.

Once you wear them out, you'll have to clean the mess off the inside of the rim.

:)

Thanks for the replies, everyone :-D.

Just paid for the tires, they'll be on... well, when I finally get that orange 240sx running again, haha.
