Hi guys,
Is anyone planning on shooting pics....Mako, or Jeff? I'd gladly purchase a few of my Corvette (#300) if the pics come out nice.

what run group are you in? i'm planning to be there in the morning to test out a new lens, also to get some stuff to Bev. I tend to run away by noon mostly because the sun becomes rather unfavorable.. may stay longer if I'm not dying from the sun though..

Jeff - can you do slomo? Pete is out of town and I'd love to get some super slomo video of the Menace going through a slalom.

Hi Jeff,
I'm running right after lunch. I'd understand if you leave early. Hope the new lens works out well!

to be honest, my biggest reason for bailing out is usually spotters. I feel bad trapping someone into a spotter's role. I wouldn't care as much if it was just my own time. usually why i end up just using the 600 from the sideline, no spotter needed..
the pictures are not as good though..

We would love for you to photograph us. We are running first group in ASP with a Black Porsche Cayman R numbers 198 and 298. Since we have no pictures of this car, we probably will buy whatever pictures you take of us. Thanks. George and Jo Ann Lynch

here's one of you looking not quite parked..
sigh.. 2300+ pictures to look through and filter out the blurred ones. beer / bed is a lot more attractive right now

I thought marshall was giving you the sign of professional gratitude, placing an order for 1 shot.

Much better than last time. Excellent motion shots. Be fun if you could sneak the shot of Marshall into Sportscar Magazine.
Like the shot of my car, but do you have something similar with the rear quarter panel?

2300 shots, the power of digital. What brand of beer?
Have you looked at any of Andy's stuff?

I have.. they're pretty cool with the photo effects..
I'm about 3/4 of the way through sorting now. will post up a link tonight.
I was glad that the kids runs wasn't during lunch this event. It gave me a chance to go out and see them (since lunch is basically the only time I get any rest).
Christine and I were laughing about how cute all the kids looked in their giant helmets..

Hi Jeff,
Did you end up staying for my run group after lunch?
***fingers crossed***
If so, I'd love to buy a shot or two.

christine and I headed out there and stayed until just after your 3rd run. you'll have to be the judge of the quality of the pics (which are being processed on the computer at home while i'm at work).
the heat wave from the sun, and the glare of the angle just sucks for after-lunch sessions though..

Thanks, Jeff. As a veteran of many photo shoots over the years (assisting, rather than shooting), I know it's all about the light!

surprisingly, a lot. (i deleted about 500 pics straight up simply due to fuzziness, most of the shots were at 1/8-1/125, so, nearly 80% on panning shots - i consider that a success.. :gpower: ). The real surprise for me was the speed of the canon 400 f/5.6. that lens focuses so fast, that it's actually able to keep up with a car coming at an oblique angle while panning at 1/80.
i was kinda weary of the morning sun angle with the black car, but they turned out pretty good. pics in 4-5 hours. Figured I'd try to be more helpful and sort them by run group this time, rather than just pure number breakdown.
it was really irritating seeing dust start appearing in pictures as the morning wore on though.
