Any tips on how to watch that without subscribing to cable or satellite? Or is there anyone with a DVR who'd be willing to FTP the episodes to me?

Ran SM. Was not driving Mike or PJ's cars. Some things even alien abilities cannot overcome.

(PS - It's spelled Heitkotter)

Pretty cool ... Bryan is starting to make his presence known ... once they start real racing

No wonder the shows pretty decent. The director is Jeff Zwartz, who directs and shoots a lot of the Porsche commercials, long time Porsche racer/Pikes Peak competitor, and among other things, creates/shoots an exotic car calendar every year.

Only one Z. Jeff Zwart.

Jeff is a good guy, I've known him for years, and once talked him into coming out to a Solo2 at Lion Country Safari back when he was running a Mazda 323 GTX in SCCA Pro Rally.
My first job after grad school was working in the architectural office of his co-driver. :-)

I saw him again last year at Rod Millen's shop when he was mounting Randy's ChaseCam systems on Toyota FJs for the Targa New Zealand.

I thought the show mostly sucked. In the end, the people that were booted off were done so because their lack of real car control, which was barely shown on the show. Stupid presenter chick.. stupid judge chick I've never heard of... really, just frankly stupid! Hopefully, they will show more driving and less gimmicks as the show moves forward.

I was actually motivated to play GT again and almost turned on playstation. But, then I realized I was old and out of shape like the guys that got kicked off. :unimpressed:
Now I have proof the playing video games can have a future (got to have some talent also).
I hope Bryan does well and is successful at his new job.

@ Max ... they had a LOT of stuff to cover in the first show. Having Bryan in the show makes it a GOOD SHOW! ;)

They spent most of it covering meaningless crap!

I agree with Max. But I'm still saving it on the DVR in case something strikes me as worth watching as I scan the show. I'll certainly watch the parts that feature Brian kicking butt.

They've got to take the time to introduce the premise and characters. They're never doing to make it just about the driving.

I find most of the characters on the Car Show repugnant to the point of watching Martin Scorsese's My Voyage to Italy instead last night.

Nissan USA posted the first episode on YouTube, although the sound is about 3 seconds ahead of the video. I have to agree that the triathlon was kind of a dumb event even for an athletic challenge, and took up valuable screen time. The karting event got covered in reasonable depth, but the car control exercises were brushed off with a short montage, despite the fact that the judges gave them the most weight out of all the events.

The show is supposed to be available through the Playstation Store, but there's no sign of it yet. Perhaps because Sony had a massive unscheduled "downtime" event on the day it was supposed to go up.

Cool watching the Continental Tires GrandAm race ... with Bryan in it ... at least until he had to drop out. That's some serious close racing to get thrown into! A lot of those guys have years of experience ... the "kids" probably started in wheel to wheel karting. Besides a stand alone spin, Bryan got caught up in a four car carambolage

There has got to be an untold story about the go-kart endurance race. Bryan's team came in dead last, and it looked like most of the laps they were behind, happened during Bryan's shift. But in the critique session at the end, it wasn't mentioned at all! Instead, they picked on the fact that he was "constantly complaining about the cars", with the example that he thought he would do better in one of the left hand drive cars that some of his competitors were in? That's a serious stretch, when picking on him for his team coming in last in the karts would have been really easy. Unless there was something going on there that they didn't want to talk about...

It's a TV show! What we see doesn't necessarily reflect reality.

Of course ... it's a show. Seems like Bryan is purposely being left a bit out ... since we know what happens in the end. But yesterday, episode 3 ... Bryan was oddly inconsistent ... and his results were "extreme?"

Bit your tongue! Someone call the authorities about this man.

I'll tell you what's real about reality TV: the paychecks! ('though sometimes they're reallllyyy slow in coming)

(oh, and the boobs; they're real too...)
