Define small... you're a tall guy, so I'd guess no standard cabs? :lol:

If you have some idea of your wants and price range I can send you info on the ones I come across.

'bout as small as they come, and still fit your body frame...

Actually it's for my daugther, who needs something cheap because her 99 Elantra wagon is packing up it's trans and at 240K miles it can't take much more. She is however 6'1".

I would recommend a 4 banger Toyota pick-up or 4-runner. EFI starts from 1985 and they have a history of being quite reliable and spare parts are relatively easy to come by.

agreed, but hard to find even a Toyota basket case in her price range. Right now planning to look at a F-250 at FAM Van's with some dents. Little less gas milage than she needs, and a little high on her price range. Also talking to a person on this board about thier 92 Ranger.

Here you go:

Toyota: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2662431746.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The front is torsion bars so 5 minutes with a wrench will lower the front to stock height.

Dakota: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2646975851.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or, here's a Corolla: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2663550620.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bought a nice little 1992 Ranger for Mihail. He was very nice to my Daughter Samantha who was buying her first car for herself. Gave her a great price and even, smogged the car, washed it and filled the tank before she even agreed to buy it. Now she just has to learn the art of driving a stick shift. She works for the Saddleback park and rec department teaching animal husbandry and ceramics, and teaches horseback riding privately as well. The pick up will be much better for her than you little station wagon. the only bad part is she wants to put Pink Camo seat covers on it and eventually paint it Barbie Pink.

Hi Art,
I got somewhat attached to this vehicle after fixing it and bringing it back to life. So I am very glad that the truck found a good family and, more importantly, that it made your daughter happy. Looks like it is destined to undergo a gender change in the near future, but that's fine with me :)
