T Shirts?

I'm sure others have already done this at some point in the past, but would anyone be interested in CalClub t shirts? I've seen event-related shirts, but I don't recall having a regional type thing. Seems like we could sell them at events and on the site for a few extra bucks without making them exorbitantly expensive (It's been a while since I did shirts, so I'd have to price it, but I'm pretty sure we could do high-quality shirts with a multi-color silkscreen for less than $15 per). I'd be happy to do the design and manage the process if there's interest. If I pulled it together quickly enough, I might even be able to have some ready for nationals.

Also, does anyone have an electronic version of the CSCC logo with the orange cone (the one at the top of each page of the forum)?

I would, and in fact, I know SD region had them 2/3 yrs ago at a National Tour and it was nice seeing who was an SD member (host region) or not during the National Tour. Kinda of a pride thing to wear when hosting an event, so I'd be up for it.

I have the logo at the top because I created it. My company is a screen printing company and I do the art. Nearly every event shirt (ProSolo, Tour, Lone Pine) you see at our events, I did.

How about this: (Uses some art from some instructor shirts we have done in the past.)

Nice shirt Rick. I'd buy one as it's "regional" shirt and not a dated-event shirt.

What I like about that shirt is that it shows/tells that the activity is motor sports. Many/most shirts, jackets and trophies don't really make that clear. IMHO. YMMV. Void where prohibited by law. :D

It would even be possible to add something like "Nationals Team" under the logo on the front for those who want them. Adds nothing to the cost and can be deleted on the regular shirts. Also, the overall cost should be a good bit less than $15. The shirts I do for the Pro and Tour and sell mainly for $10 still allows me enough profit to pay for a set of tires or so (OK, a set of kart tires is only $200)

Kurt, didn't mean to step on your toes. If you have another design in mind I'm open to it. I'd just been playing with this design for this purpose for some time. What ever is decided, I'll give the best price for getting them done.

As far as ordering and delivery, since there is no event before Nats, I could probably take orders here and them get them to someone who is going to the Pro Finale and let them deliver them at Nats (since I'm not going this year).

Early 90's Eclipse/Laser/Talon. Notice the hood hump and little spoiler.

The shirt should be updated to have a teal civic with a cupcake on the hood.

It is a CRX. The art was created many years ago for a memorial event for a young lady from our area (before SCCA I believe) who passed away. The original had all the stickers and the numbers she used. Her first name was Laurie, don't remember her last, and she drove a CRX so that's what the caricature of the car is.

Hey Rick...what's the name of your company? I work (for about a couple more weeks) for Giant Merchandising...another victim of offshore competition.

Actually, I was about to say I didn't mean to step on your toes. I'd just love to get a Cal Club T shirt going. Plus, no reason we couldn't do this one, then do more later on. I have a few ideas in mind, but I'm sure we could do a run or two of yours, and some different ones after that. Big plus that you're a screen printer too! I was counting on low-volume pricing, and I'm sure you could do much better.

BTW, speaking as one of the large humans in the region, I'm sure at least 12 3X-4X shirts would sell. I'd probably buy 2-3 myself.
