Haven't gotten Norton to clear clean the hack to my Hotmail account that has now sent out two spam e-mails. Any suggestions?

1. Change your Hotmail password.

2. My sister's Hotmail account was hacked last week... must be a Hotmail thing.

3. Hotmail sucks... switch to Gmail.

What Max said, you need to change the password to a STRONG password. Anti virus will not get solve this issue which is some %%$#$@@$%^&** has the password to your account.

It happened to my hotmail, but the strong password has fixed it for a year or two now.

:)

FWIW, norton isn't exactly the be-all-end-all on computer protection anymore.

you were most likely phished via clicking a link, which norton probably didn't catch.

at the minimum, download adaware (it's free) and run it on ALL the computers you have used to access hotmail.

yep, I have run a 360 scan and changed the password. I use g-mail for some things but it has a really lousy filing system.

Who files, just search it.

In Gmail, I create labels like "Misc", "Follow Up", "Racing" and move emails to the appropriate folder if I want to keep them. Not sure how that differs from any other email system.

Think of "labels" as "files". Worked awesomely once I realized that.
