There's really nothing to be nervous about. Tell here it's less dangrous than the drive to get there, and there is very little you can do to actually embarass yourself (just don't hit a cone 200ft after the finish line going 5mph).

It's mainly when you actually have some experience that you can really embarrass yourself! :?

So True!!
Ask me how I know... :?
Anyways it should be a blast & hopefully she'll get some good ride along to give her confidence.
I know how she feels though, it may less dangerous then the trip there, but when your not use to driving as fast as you can & never spun out before it can be nerving.
Then again she's spun out with me driving a few times... LOL!

Stupid question here, but is everyone on the MSR list in the practice, or is that just everyone who signed up on MSR; wait listed people included?

Everyone on the list is in the practice. The wait list is not shown.

I just checked MSR and don't see a registration for you. Are you sure you registered?

No , not for the raceday .
are you saying this time we did actually do it on line vs other times that we dont & etc etc...'

I must say I love the events, but must say this regitering stuff even after about a year is frustrating to me!

Being my check must of been one of the 1st in to you KJ, are we in our not?
One event it seems we can do it all on line & then the next one its to only be mailed in & then this one was both.... WTF?!?!?!

Can we please get some consistency?!?!?!?!

Yes, you were supposed to both register online and send a check. I'm pretty sure it's been like that for at least a couple of previous events.

Here's the instructions that are on MotorsportReg when you click register:
Please register online.

Once your registration is complete, please mail your paymemt (payable to SoCal Solo II) to:

SoCal Solo II
c/o KJ Christopher
310 Via San Sebastian
Redondo Beach, CA 90277
As I understand it, using MotorsportReg makes handling registration the day of the event (both practice and championship ...er... autocross sundays) much easier, however there are accounting difficulties with using the online payment feature, so the payment is still being done offline.

I think there are a few questions on this survey that are right up your alley: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6263

OK, Fine.... are we in or not?
I sent our money in but did not do the on line thing?

Just let me know.

Why Cant it always be the same thing so people like me that try to speed through thights cant figure it out?
Do I really have to stop & slowly read the directions for every event because of how they change?

Keeping a consistant format would just speed things along for a lot of us just popping in while a work for a of us using our smart phones.
Dont know about you but as I'm aging reading the fine print is getting much more difficult these days... :?

While I understand your complaint about consistency, it wasn't exactly fine print. Large, bold, red letters immediately above the address to send the check to. Would seem pretty hard to miss. But take some solace in that you were not the only one who did that.

Take note that the procedure will be different for the March PSCC practice which will be posted within the next week.

If somebody can't bother to pay attention the large bold red warning messages, I don't want them slinging a car around a course near workers...

Just sayin', as offensive as it may be to say outloud.

In this case, you didn't slowly have to read anything, just the extra large red print explaining what to do.

The first step to getting on the entry list is to register. You still haven't done that. If you need help with this step, you can email the registration chief or myself and we can help you through it.

Personally, what I would do in this situation is start by completing the registration form. Once done with that, I'd send an email to registration explaining that I was one of the first to send my check in, why I'm late in registering, along with an small apology for requiring this *extra* attention. Unless there was something outrageously wrong with the advertisement for the event, I don't think highlighting the fact that I didn't follow simple instructions and then blaming event organizers in a public forum would be the route I'd take.

Yes. Yes, you do. As did the 95 or so people who are either in the practice or on the waiting list.
