Grrrr ... I'd trade some photo ability for some driving ability! After a decent Practice, 48.9 ... I kept wimping out going across the hill today.
Thanks for getting some nice snaps of me!

I forgot to turn the plugin mic that I bought on for Trevor, so you can compare his video to either mine or Mark's to hear just how crappy the builtin GoPro mic is.

Sorry about the wind noise; I hadn't planned on mounting the camera to the roof.

Steve has to work on getting closer to the cones. OK, Steve, reel it back just a notch.....
Who says the rear wheels of a FWD car serve no purpose? They're there to stomp the cone back down to the ground!
(both runs were clean but a course worker told Steve that one of them was only overlapping the box by an inch)

It's like the engine just expired at the sight of QV's outfit!

Fixed that for you.
(add the usual "haven't blown up your first motor, eh?" comment - seems to be the initiation rite)

Yah ... he was one of the few that would get the car a bit sideways before the last corner to straighten it out and get on the power early ... in a controlled fashion, as opposed to a few who would get all squirrely coming in too fast.

Sunday's race photos have been uploaded: http://public.fotki.com/makofoto/2012-r ... uary-race/
Rick Brown suggested doing some what we call Dutch Angles in the movie biz. Part way through the day I inexplicably started to slant the camera in the other direction ... doesn't work as well imo. Of course I could crop any regular photo at a slant ...

Robert did give me a "WTF?" look w/ his shoulders & hands a run earlier - I was hoping it was just for engine troubles!

Yeah the reverse slant doesn't work as well, except in the few shots where the vehicle was going "up hill". But I really do like the slant and hopefully so do some customers!

I'm a little late to the party...trying to re-learn Final Cut Express using this video.

My hands are still a little high, but they're much better than where they often used to be at the top of the wheel.
