This weekend's practice will be my son, Max's, first autocross experience in a real car (I don't count the Corolla we rented for the school last fall). I know from experience that a small amount of info emanating from my mouth will actually be processed by Max's brain ("Dad's mouth is moving so he must be wrong"), so I'd love it if you all would go for a ride-along with him and give him some feedback.

Well, at least the tires won't get destroyed in the wet.

I just mounted a set of nearly bald, hard-as-a-rock Hankooks especially for that, and now it rains so I'm going to have to use the full-tread, brand new Hankooks. :unimpressed:

Reminds me of what we've been advised...
When he becomes a teenager, it's best to just lock him in an old pickle or craker barrel, you know, one of those with the little sight plug hole near the top. Then when he turns 16 or 17...........plug the hole.

Believe me, I'm still 50-50. I still brought them, just in case it's semi-dry ;)

If you think a mediocre vette driver can be of help yes.
