You need an 8-10 mm spacer to use them on your 2002 Dave.
Is the center bore for a Mazda? (BMW is 57.1 ,I think Mazda is 3mm smaller)

Didn't answer your question. Assuming the 7" rim is approx 8" overall, then backspace @ zero offset would be 4".
4" + 35mm = approx 5 3/8" or therebouts.

Is this a conflict between the terms "backspace" and "setback"? I'm thinking in terms of the difference from the hub face to the wheel centerline vs the hub face to the back edge of the wheel.
