Anybody have a Sawzall near Ontario?

Hey y'all,

I moved to Fort Irwin a couple of months ago and I'm just now getting to a solo event at autoclub (tomorrow, Sunday the 23rd...). So I am extremely excited about some Hankook R comp tires I have mounted on my car (and that I want to run tomorrow), but I believe my fenders need to be trimmed.

I am in Ontario at a hotel right now (long story, wife is running a 5k while I watch the baby, but we made a weekend out of it). I am not attending the practice, though it would be easy to swing by after noon and I would like to trim my fenders a little to make sure I don't trash those new tires.

I already rolled my fenders under where the rubbing was the worst up front, but the bottom line is they stick out past the wheel wells a good 1/2" so, even though my car is not that low, I feel like it might be better safe than sorry and just trim off a 1/4" or so and get the rubber protectors for the edge.

So, I'm looking for somebody nearby with a sawzall that might let my drop by and borrow it to mangle up my fenders later today or this evening.

Took care of my own problem, I think. I removed the fender liner and flared the front fenders dramatically. With my hands.

That's a little scary, but better than hacking up the fenders on short notice.

See y'all tomorrow.
