I'm so desperate that I'm considering towing to Phoenix to run their postage stamp lot at Firebird this weekend.

CalspeedKarting has an event coming up this weekend. Its $125 and offers about an hour or so on a sports kart, I've run with these guys a few times and its always been a very fun.

I'll be racing karts this Sunday at Jim Hall in Ventura. $125 for 5 sessions: practice, qualify, 2 heat races, then a longer main race.

Looks like fun, but at 265lbs I would just be a lap dog in equally prepared cars. That whole horsepower to weight ratio thing rears its ugly head with go karts.

I'd be willing to trek to Ontario but def would prefer the one in Irvine.
