Aerial Vids for Sunday, Yay or Nay?

Post by UpThere Video »

Hey guys n gals!

Been busy the past couple of months and missed your race days, but this Sunday looks clear. If y'all are interested in having some more aerial vids, respond here. If only Kurt is interested, it's probably not worth coming out, but it seems a bit unfair to judge whether y'all are interested when I buried my query in another thread you may not be following so I'll start one on this topic specifically.

For those unfamiliar, I come out and video all day trying to get as many runs and cars as possible. I video a car from start to finish then come around to the start line a catch the next car taking off and so on through out the day. Afterwards I catalog every run, then post a list on this site the car #s I was able to record and offer to post every run for anyone who requests to see their runs. Then I separate out your runs and post a vid of just your runs on a page with everyone else who's requested. I do all of this for free, though I do request that you tip me through a click on the individual runs page, those tips options range from $2 to $10.

Some have requested a way to specifically request recording of certain runs, particularly to sync with in-car videos, and I believe I have a solution for that as well if you carry your phones with you in your cars. I propose posting a sign three cars back from the start so those in the queue can text me to let me know that they are about to be up and they want this particular run recorded. The sign would say "If you have in-car video on this run and want aerial to sync with it, please text your car make, model, color, and # to 208.608.1377 NOW so I can swing round and catch you in time."

Okay there's my pitch. What say y'all. Yay or Nay?

Considering the Halloween Haunt had over 80 requests for individual runs, I'm surprised this thread is not seeing but one response. Just to be clear, tips are requested but not required, I post the runs that are requested if I've got 'em regardless of tipping or amount of tipping. Yes, I do process and post tippers' runs first, but within a few days all requested runs are posted.

I've noticed most folks are a bit shy about chiming in. I do believe the consensus is you are more than welcome and appreciated at any of our events. So please come on out.

I too noticed a lot of views but no responses. I guess I just never figured the type of skilled drivers that autoX requires would be shy. I'll try to keep that idea in mind but honestly folks, don't be shy.
