Friend looking for a daily driver

A friend of mine is looking for a basic daily driver, he's thinking Camry, and he's gotten nearly screwed over and scammed by multiple sellers. He's not a "car guy" at all. Does anyone have a line on a solid reliable daily driver? Budget is about $9K. Thanks!

Customer is selling his 82 Nissan Maxima. This car has only 107K, it has the Z l24 motor and looks brand new. Very cool car, he want $3k. If interested I'll get pictures. It is an automatic.
