Once again, I'm amazed at how much course they can cram in to such a small lot. I can't wait for a venue 4x the size! Make sure you go to the town hall meeting tonight and give us the scoop on next year's site.

I introduced myself to the courses last night and the West course said, "Howdy, nice to meet you, I'm an Elise course." And the East course said, "welcome to Topeka, I'm an Elise course too."

"So, Chris I hear you're doing OK?"

"Where are you?"

"I'm still in Cali. So you're in first?"

"I thought you were coming in today. There are women gettin' naked all over the place here."

"Hopefully it doesn't stop. So, the course..."

"I saw Xxxxx Xxxxxx topless twice today."

After I got him to calm down over the boobies, I found out his last run was dirty, so he's in fourth in STX. He can't remember the names of who's in 1-3. East course is only 40 seconds for STX cars.

I had this smile on my face the whole time I was in Topka and can't seem to get it off....even though I had to devert to Huntsville, Al for work and stay here over the weekend......Nations were a blast...only wish I drove faster and had more time to get used to the GP Spitfire.....which ran well and was one of the few GP cars to not have any mechanical issues!

Of course, needed to save the battery. Since timing and scoring kept us waiting so long the first day, really didn't want to take the chance on Wednesday. Did start on it's own for the last 2 runs.

I've finally narrowed down the 4,000+ photos to a more reasonable number. About 1,600.

Mostly heat 5 Tuesday/Wednesday, as well as all day Thursday, both courses. Vast majority are unprocessed, just resized for web use. My camera was being moody about getting the exposure correct all week, especially with some of the questionable lighting I chose.

Both cones were wiggled but safe! / The big East course slalom, slightly evil in its offset. / It was a cone-fest out there. / Burst mode = 5fps. This guy's sprint mode = 5sps (steps per second). Guy's got moves!
