Most of you know the car, but here is the full rundown.

To give you a little info on this car, it was originally owned by John Ames. This car has had 100% sponsorship since 1998 with NO EXPENSE SPARED. The Car has won 6 National SCCA PorSolo and Solo II class E Street Prepared championships.

The chassis has only 16,000 miles and the engine is a LT-4(installed by SLP to Engineering) has only 6000 miles. This is a very rare race car. SLP put the LT-4 in 2 cars in 1996(to my knowledge and then built 100 LT-4's during 1997, a $10000 with blueprinting). The engine includes headers, special engine torque suppressors and management system, the subframe is from the stiffer convertible chassis (once again installed by SLP), and the transmission is a 1993(came with lower 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears) that was installed with the engine. Hp is about 350+ at the rear wheels and the LT-4 has more low end torque than you can use. The suspension was developed in conjunction with Ankeny Racing Ent. (Guy Ankeny). Guy's cars have won numerous National Championships including Overall Pro Solo Championship, and National BSP as well as several others. Suspension Includes Triple Adjustable Penske shocks, custom offset front bushings (this will give you 2.25 degrees of negative camber), and an adjustable track-link from Unbalanced Engineering. The panhard rod is adjustable as is the rear sway bar. The car is completely ride height adjustable and has been corner weighted. Brakes are 1998 calibers with the larger cross drilled/slotted rotors on the front and rear. It had new Hawk brake pads installed just prior to nationals. The list keeps going.

The week prior to Nationals the differential was completely gone though including new bearings, ring and pinion, the aluminum driveshaft was balanced, and a new universal installed.

Spares include 18+/- wheels (from 16 x 9 for rain tires to 17 x 11 fronts and 17 x 12.5 CCW rears). Also, includes extra springs, sway bars (you can set up the car to your liking), and any several other misc. parts. Spares could probably be sold for $3,000 or more (you don't really need 18 wheels).

This car is not a stripped out E-Street Prepared Car. The Boise stereo and air conditioner are still in tact. I have the power seat wrapped in plastic (It currently has a Cobra race seat and sparco steering wheel).

The Price of the car is $11,950 or best offer.

I would think that would only take an exhaust change every other year. ;)

Mike drove it on the streets (not a daily), usually to my events last year. It's is/was regged out of state though.

Hey Steve, we had a new cat put on it earlier this year. It SHOULD pass smog. Only issue I have had is that the check engine light pops on when the fan is flipped on before the car thinks its okay (manual switch). I do have a guy getting it smogged though.

Steve, is that the 10, 000 mile car that's been sitting around your shop for almost a decade?

Seb - Steve's looks like it just came of the showroom floor. It was up on a lift when I was round there the other day, and I thought I was looking at a brand new car, not a NA Miata.

11,018 miles to be exact. ;)

I last raced it in 2005 (or 6?) but then the '06 car came along and this one got covered up and hid in the back of the shop until this earlier year. I've actually put together a plan to update it to modern standards and bring it back out, but everything is still on paper at the moment. Problem is, even with the low miles it's not worth that much... at best, it might get me half way to the Camaro, and there just isn't enough spare change in the racing budget to make it the rest of the way.

Somebody buy this Bitchin' Camaro! Preferably, somebody far away so I don't have to be taunted by it at every event... }:)

Maybe SS should stand for Steve + Steve.
Lepper and Coe each put in half and co-drive it.
:-)
