Question... the #1 seed should be the person with the best win over class while the 32nd seed should be the last one who got in by the hair on their teeth, correct?

Ladies classes must have been skimpy. Only 4 made it into the challenge.

That's how I understand it, but you run out of winners well before you get to #32 and start taking close non-winners. Should be spelled out in the Sup Regs though. With that 'seeding' the high seeds (1,2,3) should be facing non-class winners, who in theory are indexed beyond their ability.

That's what I though, and then surmised after looking at the rules. But... then I was confused based upon the results posted on SCCA.com for the event.

The reason I was asking was based upon the results in STS. The class winner (Andrew Hahn) was ranked 31st, while the 2nd place (David Whitener) was ranked #6, for the Super Challenge, and I found that odd.

So either the results for the Super Challenge are wrong, or the results for the class are wrong.

I think the numbers for the bracket are upside down, but it's in the right order. Try from top to bottom:

This matches what the Nationals Staff was talking about at El Toro. They felt that it was actually a detriment to the top qualifier to run last in the first round. If the top qualifier makes it to the final round, it gives the first run off pairing more time to cool down.

Yes - They co drove
Maybe - The photo's look like the same car, but I guess a new "car" with the same paint job could have replaced the prior one.
Not for long - If Andrew keeps beating David the car owner. }:)
