I have a Corvette that I am offering for sale to someone who would value the car. It is a 1989 Corvette Z51 Coupe. The current mileage on the car is just under 62,000 miles. I purchased the car five years ago with 22,000 original miles. Since purchasing the car, I have replaced wear items that failed because of the sheer age of the car. I have replaced the injectors and the brakes were replaced all around only a short time ago. This is a non-FX3 car with 3.54 gears and the M6. A total of 651 of these cars were built in 1989, and I believe that number includes the Corvette Challenge cars. This car is equipped exactly like a Corvette Challenge car minus the cage, etc. Of those 651 cars, an unknown number of them had the 3.54 gears as opposed to the 3.33 gears. When I found this car, it had the petrified OEM original "Gaterback" tires still mounted on the car, CAGS was still connected, and it had the stock alignment front shims all in place. This car was born in Bishop, CA as a factory order. It sat in storage for some eight years, and most likely was sold from an estate sale. I don't believe this car ever saw a competition event until I bought it, and I have driven it very few times in autox events. The paint on the car is almost flawless. I had the drivers side seat reupholstered. The interior is flawless. Everything works on the car. It has cruise control and manual seats. The car currently has Michelin Pilot PS2 tires mounted all around with only about 3K miles on the tires. It has always been garaged since I got it. The car is White with a tan interior. I also have a set of 17X11 "A" Mold Grand Sport style wheels for the car that have never been used. The wheels on the car now are close to brand new 17X9.5 "A" Mold Grand Sport style wheels. Both sets of wheels are silver clear coat.

This car is worth $15,000 to me. I would entertain any serious offers.

That is a nice car Bob. btw, if it were slated to be a Challenge car it would have the code R7F on the build sticker. The Challenge cars had Z51 suspension like yours, but WITH the FX3 adjustable shocks - the civilian FX3 cars had the softer Z52 springs. Your car is a lot like the very fast and successful: Green, Cohen, McWho, Mast (hope I did not miss anyone and got it in the correct order) C4.

I got to drive this Vette ... wonderful bucket seats ... the way they SHOULD be in a Vette!

Jason: I stand corrected on the technical details you cited.

Sadly, the car is now the property of West Coast Corvette in Anaheim. Someone is going to get a hell of a car. I left them the facsimile build sheet and facsimile window sticker from the Corvette Museum. After no one replied on the entire GRA list, nor any bites here, I sold it wholesale earlier this week. It is not the money that breaks my heart. I believe this currently may be the most pristine '89 Z51 in the world. If I loved Corvette history, I would buy this can ASAP. I gave them the personalized plates of "GHO Z51." The GHO is the RPO code for the 3.54 gears. Dick G. autographed this the inside of the clamshell of this car on his 80th birthday. I am heartbroken.
