Blytheville Match Tour just got cancelled due to not enough entries. They were about 60 registered. So, we need to get some more people entered to get this event going. My guess is we will need at least 80, so go rally some chums up

Edit: Confirmed - we need 80 entries by 10/17, or the event will be cancelled.

I wanted to let you all know about our current situation with St. George, UT Match Tour. Currently we have 59 entrants. For this event to be able to operate we need to have at least 80 entrants. Below is some stipulations on how to keep this event from being cancelled:

If the UT MT has not reached 80 entries by 8 AM CDT, Thursday, Oct 17th the event will be cancelled.
All entries received by Wednesday, Oct 16th at 2 PM CDT will have their credit cards charged at that time. Any entries received after this time will have their credit cards charged at the time they register on-line.
Any withdrawals from the event after Wednesday, Oct 16th at 2 PM CDT, will only receive a refund of $40. If the event is cancelled then everyone will be given a full refund.
If the UT MT is cancelled, the UT Region intends to conduct a Regional Solo event on the weekend of Oct 27-28. Information about this event will be part of any MT cancellation notice.

Since we are only 61 entries from the 80 mark I am confident that this can be met.

What's up with this?

• We have a national tour stop a very easy drive less than 6 hours away.
  
  Average highs in Saint George this time of year are in the 70's.
  
  The site is on a bluff that overlooks the city of Saint George giving one a great view of the city and the beautiful red rock mountains of Zion National Park.
  
  A stop over in Primm, Las Vegas, or Mesquite offers cheap lodging, food and gambling if that's your thing.
  
  If I understand this right, this is treated as two separate events for awards and contingencies.........a national tour on day one, and a Super Shootout on day two.

If you're on the fence, jump off and get registered. If you haven't considered going, take a second look. With a little support, this format looks like a lot of fun. We need 80 entries to make it happen. So please, take a look and get signed up.

I just found out I'm in! And there are more entries for RTF than RTR, for a change (at least last time I looked).

George - have you tried any of your wizardry on hotel rooms yet?

I got the Super 8 for $63 a night (one king bed) by just calling them and asking for the AAA discount. The trouble with Hotwire is there is no cancellation policy, and the event may be canceled!

In. Rack up some more miles on the FR-S.

I count 69 including Formula Jr. That's the total at the bottom of the "list". If true, that's 11 entries to go to make 80.

I wish I could go. St George is beautiful. Fly into ONT at 11:50pm on Friday night (car is at Airport), can't drive all night and expect to be able to drive in morning too.

Wow, hard to believe, but it looks like we're not going to make it to 80. Too bad.......looked like fun.

Interesting tidbit........we had more entries from California (24) than the host state of Utah (20). I'm shocked that they couldn't conjure up 11 more people locally, especially since the plan is to convert the weekend to a regional when this gets canceled.

For me, it is a long tow and a lot of money to go compete on an index with no upside (Pro = Pro finale qualifier). Plus, I think the entire Match Tour existence is a bit whacked.

The final nail in the coffin was Tom Berry breaking my car at the last event so he could say he beat me....
