Greetings From St. George

Post by Ed Holley »

We're all here in St. George. Yesterday was fairly layed back with the Test N Tune, check-in and TECH. What a beautiful venue this is. The course is on a perfectly flat mesa or "bluff" overlooking the town with absolutely stunning scenery in all directions, including the domes of Zion National Park 40 miles to the east. MAKO, you should be here shooting spectacular photos.

On a side note, Max's FRS is looking extremely badass. So much for keeping it "stock" and a DD for the first year.

We're about 3 hours away from Heat 1. Met David and Kim Whitener, David current and 2-time National STS Champion, as well as Eric Stoltz yesterday. Based on the level of preparation of their cars, combined with their seat time experience, I'm confident my last place finish will be secure. Stay tuned.

Yeah, he's got his header and exhaust installed.

Yeah, lovely area ... did they ever get the radiation cleaned up that drifted up from Nevada? :D

Supposedly the crew of a John Wayne movie that was shooting in the area had a higher then usual incidents of cancer after they happen to be out shooting when a cloud from an above ground nuclear test went off in Nevada during the 50's came through the area. :(

Of course that should have produced long term effects in the general population in that area

Not sure where all this DD stuff is coming from - it hasn't been since July! Still, I did drive it to St. George and back on the race tires

I just said I would not be building it right away. I've owned it 15 months now. That's an acceptable amount of time before bringing it out to race.

Who buys a BRZ with no intention of autocrossing it?!!!

Jon I see what you did there. You're not British, yet you use the term "brilliant". :P Also, time to change your sig. ;)

Max, very nice driving last weekend. Those headers are brilliant.
