What class with race tires? Lowest class possible. Does that class stand alone? Is it combined with other classes? The car as it sits now, fits 2013 SS current rules.

thanks,

Steve A.

If it's currently SS then it will be the same class next year, but renamed to SSR.

Locally, SSR will be combined with all other *SR classes (all stock classes on race tires) into 1 indexed class (SR1).

Just out of curiosity, anyone know why SSR is being kept when all other stock classes go away?

SS is not so much fun on street tires

Lisa Severy told us about two C7 vettes available for sale at Simi Valley Corvette. The car we would have bought, right on the spot, was sold Friday morning. The other car lacked a few goodies we wanted. So no new Vette yet.

Would be good to see you two out at an event again! Even if you have to slum it in something other than a C7... :)

Thanks, K.J. It would be nice to be out again. George is getting better and better each day so we are anticipating being back early next year.

I thought this car would be ASR.

If it is currently SS, then it will be SSR next year.

There is a completely separate Appendix A (which says which cars are in which class) for the Street versions of the classes, while the current Appendix A will still apply to the *SR classes for next year.

So, while I believe you are correct in that the car would run in A Street next year if it is on street tires, it continues to run in SS[R] with r-comps on.

Someone rightfully complained over at http://www.sccaforums.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that there is still no official publication that has all of this information in one place, and someone said they'd try and remedy that, but AFAIK know that still hasn't happened. The most recently published "new" Appendix A is in the August Fastrack from this year, and it has been amended in various ways by the 4 FasTracks that have been released since.
