With all the talk about the question makrs re: Obama and how potentially scary he might make things as president, this is the one thing that gives me pause about voting for McCain. He's a freakin' loose cannon.

Oh yeah thats a fair piece... Gesh....

Better to hand it over to the Jimmy Carter v2.0 appeasers. That will keep us safe.

LOL. I never said it was unbiased. It's just a complete blowing out of proportion of the one thing that is making me hesitate.

So, I'm supposed to vote for McCain out of fear of "other wars?"

I'd take Carter over the latest administration.

You're looking back on the Carter Presidency with lust and committed political adultery in your mind? At least God knows this and will forgive you.

I wouldn't call it lust. Carter's central failing is that he couldn't bring himself to delegate, and when he did he was a control freak. The econ wasn't going to turn without Volker's bitter pill of higher interest rates. So without success freeing the hostages, his presidency was doomed.

Carter should never have denied our athletes the chance to compete at the Moscow Olympics.

One of my econ mentors advised Carter. Every briefing the econ crew got the same tired lecture from Carter about how econ was all bunk and then were sent out of the room.

Yeah that's a great CEO....

The only thing Obama has going for him is he is not Bush. But the 22nd Amendment protects us from that idiot.

Sometimes I'm over everyone's head. Most of the time I'm below their feet.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Palin and her bid.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Palin is a 'Post Turtle'".
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle".

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. "You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, and she doesn't know what to do while she's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put her up there to begin with".
