Anyone know of a good mechanic in the Irvine area, preferably with a Honda bent? I have to get the CRX I'm considering checked out before taking the plunge.

Eric has a shop in Anaheim/Orange.

Does Hiro do hondas? If so, they're in Costa Mesa.

Eric does the work on my car. Did the work on the Lutheren Civic v1.0. Works on winning Honda Challenge cars. But he can't work miracles out of nothing without proper tools.

Our Honda mechanic is down in the Buena Park area and has experience building Honda motors. He specializes in the EF. I'm happy with our motor . Together with Jason's setup, it carried us to a trophy in STS on our first trip to Nationals.

Thanks, Stephen. Unfortunately, the CRX I was looking at got sold while I was screwing around. But I'm on the trail for another one now, and I'll definitely need the info at some point.

I think Kurt is enamored with the idea of an STS/STS2 EF because quite frankly I fit in one. Which means he fits in one.

Steve's pretty much dead on, though my first choice would be to field a CRX si in STS2 because 1) it's a newer class so the competition is more wide open, and 2) it's dominated by Miatas now (locally anyway), and I think a CRX might shake things up, assuming I learned how to drive it properly. If I don't run across one before my G35 lease is up in a year, I'll probably get a Mini Cooper S and run it in either SK2 or GS.

And oh yeah...Steve fits in one and a much larger Reverend Dr. Luther did too.

The problem with Honduh's in GP is that I figure its a one year only deal so painful will be the crushing.

That sounds kinda expensive. You guys are trying to boggle my mind and make me broke. I just went over the prepared rules for 2008, and I understood the purpose of about half of them. Rev.Dr. Curt ESQ's pic of the CRX in question looks like fun, though.

The more the merrier!! I understand Alex is putting his Fiat back together for GP. The 850 of Craig Way will be back the first of Nov. John's 850 would fit into GP very nicely also. Along with my Sprite we could have a very cool fun class....

I just looked at the appendix and I didn't see G prepared. Is it a local-only class?

No, it is a National class and since there were 18 entries at Nationals, it would seem that we have at least three more years....
