And with the Runoffs at Mazda Raceway for 2014 - the last time it was anywhere near the west coast was 1968 - it is the perfect year to give it a whirl, who knows when we will see the championship within 1500 miles of us again. So far this year we have seen a big bump in participation, with drivers who retired or left years ago for vintage racing or other groups returning to events in SoPac to take a shot at MRLS.
