Attention A/V mavens

So, for our new house I got a bid to install an A/V system. I lie not when I say you could buy a nice car for the same price. A really nice car. So, there's no way we are going to do this.

Is the any collective wisdom on how I could do this myself? I want WiFi, install 3 TVs (one of which will be big), a Ruku box, and some good sound for the TV - no real music needs.

Advice?

TIA

I have a good friend who does this stuff if you want to get a second quote?
I have used him with most of clients design projects.
Pretty sure Toby has used him too...

Jim's a good guy, he did our first house in 1996 so by now he has more experience doing home theaters and custom AV than most. I would recommend him for anyone doing any sort of custom stuff.

If you are planning on doing this yourself & not doing anything too fancy, I can help w/ your WiFi, Roku, and TV wall mounting needs. I suck at audio & running cables, though.

On that note, I'm going to be needing some cable running expertise in the new house.

I'll need to run power cables, etc behind drywall, both vertically and horizontally. Is it easiest to just hire a professional, or will a fish, a drywall saw, a drill and the knowledge of how to do a pumpkin cut be sufficient?!
