New for 2015 Mazda Contingency requirement

Noticed in the latest Mazda Contingency rules that winners must submit a photo of the driver wearing their racing suit with the Mazda patch sewn onto the pocket. This is in addition to submitting photos of the car with the vinyl Mazda/Mazdaspeed logos as in years past. Most of us don't have racing suits in Solo. I was wondering what Mazda trophy winners at the Tour are doing to fulfill this requirement.

Mazda has always had the patch requirement. They don't hold solo to the same requirement but please continue with your follow up to confirm.

That's not a new requirement. I called Mazda about that requirement before my 1st Tour in Spring 2010. They said it did not apply to Solo....
BUT don't send them a pic with ANYONE in it with a competitors manufactures logo on a Shirt or on an umbrella opened over the car in that Car shot.
Ask me how I know...

I got the Mazda Contingency twice last year. This requirement excludes Solo. You just need pictures of your car to prove you had the required Mazda decals and proper placement.

We will work harder this year to make sure the STS Mazdas aren't bothered by these details.

Thanks. I noticed the checklist you send in to Mazda specifically excludes Solo from this requirement. So, problem solved.
