Hi James. If you're going to sell your Hankooks, I'm going to sell mine too. In the good old days, if you wanted the best tire, you just bought Hoosiers. Now we get to chase the best street tires over and over again. I have to buy a new set of wheels just to get something remotely close to the tire sizes I need. Still way undersized, but that's all I have to work with. Just look at all the guys selling there tires on this forum. What tires are you buying?

See you at the next event.

Steve

Hi Steve! These arent my tires for sale. I'm posting these for someone else. I'm just helping sell them. I am super happy about the street tires however. I ran Hoosiers too (remember, I won a National Championship on them : ) but hated it. I hated:

1. You couldn't drive them on the street. "Highway use not recommended."

2. Heat cycled out after 18 runs.

3. Had to have a seperate set of Hoosier wets.

I did like the contingency program on them though. Other than BFG, the current street tire contingency programs ate pretty pathetic.

Anyway, I'm poor, so I'll be running my hand-me-down hankooks at local events so well be heads up, well except for that overdog car of yours :)

I guess I had better luck then you. My Hoosiers last 72 runs and never seem to be slow. I also rotate front to back and inside out. That probably helps. Always drive to the events on them too. 130 miles round trip. I'll be on Hankooks for the next couple of events. :D

Steve, I think you'd be pretty pleased with the RE71Rs even if they are a bit narrow (they will be better than the wider RS3). Any reason you're choosing not to run them? I don't have a reference for the Rival S yet... Crows Landing should provide solid data if you can wait a week or two.

Are these still available? I tried to PM you, but I'm not sure if it worked.
