Casey, I'm your S.S.S. for the weekend. I'm working all day tomorrow, so I'll safety your course early Saturday morning. Just do me a favor and look out for places that might be visually confusing. Thanks!

It takes many to put on a sucessful event......none more important than those folks who step up to design and help set-up a course. Casey and Jason stepped up at the ninth hour and volunteered to take on the task of heading up the design team. I want to thank them, and Mike and QV for coming out to help.

Folks, when you see the course designers and helpers, not only at this event, but every event, take the time to give them a pat on the back for stepping up. We could not have an event without them.

The course may have been relatively cone intensive, but it was san absolute blast to drive. My last run it took me a couple minutes for my hands to stop shaking!

Thought that was one of the better courses we've had in a while - many our courses lately have had a lot of spots where those of us driving low-horsepower cars are waiting for stuff to happen, but this one had enough of a mix to keep it interesting all the way through on both days - especially Sunday. Great job, guys!

+1 would drive again. the subtlety of how the different elements linked together was very challenging. the finish on sunday was really something special.

nice job guys.

Wonderful courses both days. Thank you. When you look at some of the videos from San Diego this weekend, you realize how lucky we are to have such talented designers in our region.

While I would agree in general...

The SW Lot ( & the Q in general) has limitations we don't deal with, which makes it a much more difficult lot to design upon.
- A solid K rail barrier dissecting 1/3 of the lot from the remainder of the lot... and no control of what sections of the K-rail may or may not be there any given weekend.
- Light poles within, & solid objects surrounding the entire perimeter.
- A ditch, that must always be crossed at 45% (often more than once), and never under braking.
- A scattering of drainage grates which must be avoided.
- Pot holes... that inevitably end up in the middle of your awesome designed course (on paper).

Please don't place all the blame at the feet of the designers. Without getting into the politics of course design in SD, as a designer your often only able to provide the product the customer (bitchy old timers & Mod driver(s)) & regulators (SSS) will allow you to provide. Both of which are much more vocal/restrictive than in LA.
