Heads up everyone, there is a Practice and Championship on the 8th and 9th of November. Looks like it's an e-board run event. It's not on my calendar so it must have appeared at some point.

So Beverlee mentioned this last weekend that it has been a while since I designed a course and thinking about it, she's right. Maybe I could design the course for the E-Board event. If that is ok with everyone.

I'll put the practice flyer up tonight. Basics are 75 person entry cap, $55. We are going to be pinched for light so there is a big push to get volunteers to help with a Friday course setup so we can do a Craig Angel style course is hot at 8:30 sharp.
For practice mailbox race jockeys, the flyer goes up tonight. No special rules other than please DO NO use US Postal service express mail or signature required. It means I have to go to the post office on the other side of town (the bad side), wait in line, and generally have a crappy day, in order to sign for your package. Please don't put me through that. I get angry. I hold grudges. And I'm already in a pissy enough mood from hitting the Bull Moose with the new truck in Kansas then taking my fall, that I'll need surgery for and won't be able to run the practice I'm handing reg for!!! And combine that with loosing a nice 4br house in Porter Ranch with a GT3 in the garage last two weeks in the market. Don't mess with me! Make me go to the Jackie Robinson Mail Collection Center and I will hunt you down!

Fedex, UPS, DHL, etc are fine, I have signature releases on file. But really folks! Normal mail should be fine for this just get them in soon and you should make it into this practice. Its an EBoard event so we aren't reserving a ton of club member spots. If you're a new person, this is a great practice opportunity for you to get seat time in preparation for becoming a hardcore addict in 2009!

I'd say it'd depend what kind of brownie we're talking about. Remember, Steve is in pain and needs relief ;)

What's the deal with the run /work order? I thought it automatically rotated, but its strange..... can't concentrate enough right now to figure it out. I need sleep, I have to get up early for a bunch of bizarre things I shouldn't be doing. I'll be home by 10 or so to make changes if needed.

With the flyers posted lets start promoting this weekend! Especially the championship. I doubt we'll have trouble filling the practice, but it should be easier to get into than most regular practices. But lets get the word out on the marquee boards and car clubs that we have a championship on the 9th open to all. We had a huge number of novices at the September event. Let's do that again.

Steve, go back to edit the post with the link in it. click on the URL button and put the entire link in there just like you would do with an image link then it should work.

Hey Steve, I think I fixed the run groups for ya. Take a look, I just moved last event forward one and cycled FJ to the beginning. Should at least be closer. ;)

When a championship flyer is initially created, it looks at the previous championship and rotates the groups. When event flyers are created in advance and there is a group realignment or event addition/deletion, it screws up the rotation for subsequent events. They don't autoadjust in case there is a special event along that list (i.e. NOTLD) that will be messed up. And there's no way to know what to do when Champ Event A is 8 groups, Champ Event B is 6 groups, then a new Champ Event C is 8 again. Too many assumtions and various ways to handle them.

Thanks Aaron for the run group help.
It was the end of a very very long day and I couldn't concentrate long enough to figure out what was going on. I haven't run a regular event since May and I haven't really been paying attention to events, so I wasn't sure if a reshuffle was made of something like that. I saw STS in the first run group twice in a row, but other stuff changed and I said... "PUNT"....
Now I'm fighting screw ups between the pharmacy and the doctors office over my drug fix.... So, you may lose me as what little sanity I had left in dealing with mental processes evaporates. Or they may lock me up when I go shopping tonight for alternatives... Or when I shoot one or more of my five doctors currently arguing over who is going to take responsibility for approving my refills.... I'm apparently not scary enough to action from them. That's probably a mistake. }:) :mrt: }:)
