Gio, the date for the CSCC Banquet is wrong...

I'm sure it'll be updated at the next meeting. I just post 'em.

Eh, whatever, it just looks wrong with an event and a banquet listed as being on the same day. That could be one stinky banquet. :barf:

Next meeting is a long time to wait for an obvious calendar correction that is going to cause confusion. Atleast note on the calendar that the minutes are wrong or people will be left figuring the minutes overrule the calendar.

Some elaboration of this decision would be nice:
Old Business:
The members that went to Nationals and applied for averages were approved with the following exceptions:
1. Jim Reyenga
2. Wolfgang Hoeck
3. Lisa Berry
4. Added to the list was Steve Glusman.

Rick (PSCC Club rep) should be able to tell you.

Yeah, but it should be in the minutes. Unexplained votes of this sort are a disservice.

I'll answer for 2 of the 4, as this were because I requested that they be disapproved. Jim is not a points card holder and Wolfgang last renewed in 2006. And Steve actually was added to the approved list.

Thanks, Gio!

It's called transparency. [Oddly enough, I got that Mr. Glusman was added to the approved list.]

Actually I'm surprised it's not in the minutes instead of me saying why.

I wasn't too sure so I erred on the side of caution.

I think Lisa applied not because she was in Topeka, but all of the cars she normally would use were.

If that is the case, its pretty unfriendly given the date we held an event on not to bend over backwards to make it right for affect people.

Agreed - I'd like to know the logic behind her denial.

Again I didn't read the minutes so I'm surprised they're not in their, but explaining the logic would be the equivalent of "Pandora's Box" and I'm not touching that with a 10ft pole. I stayed out of it.

Well, our committee would rather kiss Schrodinger's radioactive cat than actually explain the reasons pro or con.

The committee members (club reps) voted that way, they all have their independent reasons. That's why there isn't a unified explination of 'why', and that's why I suggest you all ask your club reps why they voted the way they did.

I'm not asking for the individual reasons of why each committee member voted the way they did. What reason was there for objecting to someone's request for an average? An explanation of that is what I'm asking for. Gio's response explains one reason for two of three people.

Wow.. do I fell out of the loop or what?

I requested that Lisa get her average for the event that was booked in conflict with nationals since all the cars that she has driven all year were in or on the way to Topeka. Seems like a reasonable request to me.
I month later I still have no response to the request but find out by looking at the banter on the message board that the request was denied ??
Is i possible to have a responsible party contact me so Lisa and I will know whats going on ? Please ?

Its such an extraordinary action to deny an avg in a situation like this, that if that was the way the committee was leaning I think they should delayed and notified the party so they could state their position and club members could comment.

This is normally a rubber stamp so don't give me some BS that little Lisa Berry should have driven down from UCSB to attend one of our meetings.
