Congratulations to
President-elect Barack Hussein Obama of the U.S. of A. Now go fix my 401(k) and get me back the 40% I just lost!

Because as you say "YES WE CAN"
Will someone go check on the Ekstrand Household?

... both gentlemen gave excellent speeches, but the Democratic crowd was better behaved.

McCain was classy and dignified in a way he never was during the campaign.

An amazing day for African-Americans and
non-African Americans that voted for him; in my life-time we've gone from "back of the bus" to the 44th President - America really
is an amazing country!

I think what's amazing is that, for this generation, this will be considered normal.

i have 7 e-mails when i got into the office this morning at 7am.
6 of those were from people gloating about the Obama win.
i'm going to save all those, so i can shove it back in their faces in a few years.

Because the mature thing to do is to act like those who are gloating?

i'm just going to forward those e-mails back at them. i'm confident that in a few years, things will be bad enough, that no additional input from me will be necessary.

I don't have a link for the story, but Biden's prediction has already come true. Russia is on the warpath.

So, there's automatically a connection between Biden's statement and what Russia is doing now?
Bush is still president. So, try again.

The Jewish community will get exactly what they deserve. Overwhelming support for Obama. Wait til he cuts off Israel's arms, green lights Iran and Syria and watches as the country is erased from the map.

Last night was really big in the African American community. My wife said that for the first time in her life she feels the racial chip is off her shoulder. That feeling was echo'd by a all of her friends that she talked with.

Here you go, George:

Russia is going to put missiles near Poland. Why? Because Poland signed a deal with the U.S. back in August for us to provide a missile defense system. Of course, Medvedev is just Putin with a different face and just as untrustworthy as before. For some reason W seemed to like Putin at first.
Steve, why would Obama sell out Israel? John Bolton was on BBC last night and he never made one suggestion that there would be a foreign policy shift anything like that. Not even a hint.

Just wait and see Bob....
You're going to have to learn to read Obama speak. Its pretty obvious.
For example, when Obama says he supports Israel, maybe he means he doesn't intend to attack Tel Aviv. Its not a flip flop. Its not a lie. He's just smarter than the rest of his.

The Russian thing is most troubling by the vague references to radio electronic jamming of our facilities. Depending on how they do it and what they do, it could be interpreted as an act of war.

So does this mean you are quiting the country Steve? or maybe you will just start refering to it as USA - Unbelievably Sucky America?

The people have spoken Steve. McCain lost and it wasn't even CLOSE. Like getting beat by 5 seconds on a 60 sec auto-x course.

I got my emails shoved back to me after I told my friends that they should support Bush's war and his excuses and reasons.

on a non-partisan note:
what do we think will be the "hot topic" for the fickled masses by the time Obama takes office in Janurary?
6 months ago, it was Iraq
3 months ago, it was gas prices
last month, it's the credit crisis

Unionizing Walmart, Starbucks, McDonald's, Target, Burger King, Taco Bell....
$35 an hour and cadillac health care to push the button on the taco making machine... Plus job rights and retirement and dental and lots of paid leave....
Its pure genius... Why didn't Bush think of that???

That's sorta like asking which one hurts more:
* A poke in the eye
* A punch in the gut
* A kick in the shins
The answer is they all hurt like hell, but the one you're going to pay attention to most is the most recent one, cuz it hurts most. Hopefully soon we'll have something less painful to talk about.

The beautiful thing about America is if any of those companies raise their prices as a result of the unionization, I'm free to go to a competitor that wasn't so stupid. And I will. Unions are great in some situations (less and less so in this day and age, however), but in most cases they're crap.
