Re: Course Finish Standard

It's not what's before the lights that would cause me concern; it's the amount and characteristics of the space that follows. The area before the lights is what caused the issues this time Bob. Over use of cones made the finish hard to see and the preceding corner is what made the space after the f...

Re: Course Finish Standard

Finish shoot was really just an oddly spaced 5 cone slalom setup slightly unfriendly. Could have been done with 5 cones and a pointer. It's slightly odd to have the finish on a slalom cone, but I managed to get it stopped every time.. even the time with the worker right off course after the finish w...

Aaron, We NEED the following: 1. Polls 2. Random quotes with abilty for users to add I'm guessin' the polls part could be part of the present software, the quotes, probably not. 1. Polls are currently in and implemented, available in Solo, Events and the Club boards. Also available in the Comitee b...

That was Max's, someone ran over it on Saturday while it was in the top of a cone in grid.

Re: Poll on Reducing Stock Class Costs

This is just my noob opinion but to me a class called "stock" should be exactly that...no tweaking of the car allowed. The car should be as it is off the showroom floor maybe with your choice of DOT approved tires. I ran my first event last month in D-Stock and was curious how the Impreza...

Re: Custom Front Bar

I've made my own hollow 4130 bars with tubing and arm materials from Aircraft Spruce. You can make stiff bars without reheat-treating, but a more flexible bar will develop too much stress. Corner me at an event if you need more info. I can show you the math to pick tubing dimensions for various sti...

Yeah San Diego has been hold about a 5 entrant lead. Get those entries in, or I'll never hear the end of it from Mark! Also, a Test & Tune period has been confirmed for Fri from 2 to 5pm. Cost is not set in stone, but $2/run is expected plus a short work assignment. This should be a larger test...

Re: Poll on Reducing Stock Class Costs

Curt, who's gonna blow his economic stimulus check on Dunlops...no...screw it, Bridgestones. They cost MORE. I just pulled the trigger on the 'Stones, but I screwed up. $130 ea. for the 'Stones, on special at The Rack, $119 ea. for the 'Lops, but you get a $100 rebate on a set of 4 'Stones. So I'm ...

Re: Poll on Reducing Stock Class Costs

rental cars for all. each club gets assigned a national chain that the clubs cars have to come from. you get to rent 2 of what ever they carry for the weekend, and all the team members use it. shouldn't cost more than ~$30 a head for a good size team. we can get rid of a lot of useless classes that...

I've got way more gran turismo hours then hours of racing anything else. The visual part is 90% of what you need to go fast. Being able to visually recognize oversteer and correct it before you can really feel it is a HUGE benefit. Granted the really fast people make balance corrections before you ...
