If they don't work on my mazdaspeed, I don't think they will work on the 99 either. They just don't fit into the shock tower hole the 2nd generation chassis.

Re: Flying Miata Shock Mounts for Koni shocks
Might be interested. I have a 92.
Couple questions:
Are the those spherical bearings in the top, or do they have an elastomeric part?
What diam is the hole? Think they will fit Koni Sport shocks?
I acknowledge Mako's dibs.

They won't fit a 99 as far as I know but you typically don't need the extra travel on a 99. These mounts for M1's mimic the stock 99+ mount but fit the early car.Steve Collins wrote:Might be interested. I have a 92.

Yes, there is a spherical in the top and they come in different sizes for different shocks.
If Micheals set won't fit Koni's, I happen to have a pair that will fit Koni's that I will sell. Perfect condition, same price.
BTW, are you running OTS Koni yellows? If you are running the shortened RACE version you don't want these.(I took them off my car when I upgraded)

Re: Flying Miata Shock Mounts for Koni shocks
Our Penske's shafts are wider then Koni's.
Tom ... Brian Peter's drove our Miata and immediately said we were on our bump stops. The car was skittish especially on bumps. That's with our Penskes turned up almost full stiff in the front, 500/300 springs, bump stops cut down to about an inch & quarter, ride heights at about 12.5 and 12.75. We raised the car a half inch and cut the stop in half and it was better. In fact it doesn't seem to be on the bump stop in front. I didn't push one of the bs all the way up, and after running 12 runs on Sunday last week, that stop hadn't been pushed all the way up.
There is much more travel in front then in the rear. Rear probably only has about three inches of travel.
Are raiser top hats typically used on the front, rear or both?
After raising the car and cutting the BS's to 0.75"
