Unless the design's changed, these impact guns are one of the best values out there. I know of many that are still running strong after years of service on their original batteries, mine included.

Re: GoodYear impact wrench.
I've seen a failure on one of the 1st generation of the Goodyear Impact.
Solder in the battery pack separated. The fix actual fix was faster than the disassembly of the battery.
I have a 2nd+ generation version of this with the lower stated torque rating and a black plastic casing for my battery.
I bought it in 2006-- it's been working great since.

My Goodyear impact wrench, purchased in late 2007, has lost its variable speed capability. Otherwise it's still working fine.

Love mine - best tool I have ever bought. Mine is years old and has never given me a problem. Battery still lasts for ever.

Me too. I bought a second battery right away and alternate them. Bought in 07.Max Hayter wrote:Love mine - best tool I have ever bought. Mine is years old and has never given me a problem. Battery still lasts for ever.
No issues.
It has outlasted my electric, 12 V, impact thingy I had from a rodaside tire repair kit, only lasted about a year.
