2020 Helmet Certification

Does anyone in our "Rules/Safety" world know if the Snell SA2005 helmet will be removed on the upcoming 2020 Helmet Certification list???

When the 2020 standard is releases the 2005 helmets will expire. Snell has been releasing new standards late in the year so it’s like you won’t NEED a new helmet for many many months. But 2020 COULD be released 1-1-2020. Going to Snell might give you more concrete answers.

IIRC, SCCA has previously extended the life of the old helmets until they judge that the new issue is actually in substantial retail supply. Don't recall exactly how they communicated that -- Fastrack maybe?

I just saw (posted on 12 5 2019) on the SCCA website that the SA2005 helmet is good thru 12 31 2020.
