Friend/Guest at AX

Post by David A »

I am new to the CalClub AX events. I have a friend I would like to invite to come and watch and ride along. I am an experienced driver just new to the CalClub events. Is there a registration they need to complete, waiver they need to sign, specific rules on ride alongs?

Hi David, Welcome to CalClub AX. Nothing special needs to be done in advance, just sign the passenger waiver at the event and get a passenger wrist band. We do allow passengers on competition runs, only rule is that if they are also competitors, they must have already completed their own competition runs.

I have a guest that is coming for a ride-along at the Storm event on August 4th, I'm running in the last group (DS) which is probably going off at noon or 1 pm. Does my guest have to show up before registration closes at 8:30 am or can they sign their guest waiver later like 10-11 so they don't have to sit around all day?

Your passenger isn't required to attend the driver's meeting, so they can just show up right before you run. The passenger wrist band book is at the registration table and we can help you with it all the way till the end of the event. All they have to do is sign a waiver at the gate whenever they arrive. We will have the entry gate to the lot staffed the entire event, and those folks can help point your late arrival passengers in the right direction.
