Motorhome work day

Post by Eric Clements »

Saturday the 25th we are going to start remodeling the motorhome into Timing & Scoring vehicle. I'll have the MH at my house by 8am. If you're good with tools, have good ideas, have T&S experiance, can carry debris to the dumpster, want to hang out, etc come on by.

I'll be there. Don't worry KJ, this is definitely more than a one day process. There will be plenty of other times to help. This will mostly be the demo phase.

Let me know if you need any design work once you've got it all emptied out.
I think I remember how to use Autocad...

Unfortunately, I can't make it. I'm good at breaking things, so this would've been right up my alley.

I'm pretty sure my design talents are more in line with their budget than yours. :P
OTOH, a built in Miele Espresso machine might make working in the motorhome more palatable... 8-)

It would be fun watching Bill work the Expresso machine while doing his whole Zoolander routine trying to impress the producers and directors....

That weekend my wife and I will be on the beach camping. I'm more of a construction guy then a destruction guy anyway. I usually have pretty good sources for metals, etc. and if Robert draws something up that uses the three dimensions we normally use on this planet I can make it. There's also a scrap yard near the shop and I can sometimes find shelving, desks, etc. pretty cheap.

Your primary medium is ferrous materials. I think we are planning on balsa wood or leggos to keep the weight down......

Ciceros?
If you mean, by the Cicero reference, a basic commitment to skepticism: a belief that human beings cannot be certain in their knowledge about the world, then yes, I can only build an approximation of Robert's idea.

I am a non-ferrous medium too. There's also composite and the new Buckypaper.

Can we do a carbonfiber print overlay on the work? And an 8' tall Red "R" for the back of the motorhome?

The roof of Toby's car had that (the carbon fiber, not the R) at the last event. Just a pattern printed on car wrap material. If we ever actually get the digital printer we are supposed to, I'll be able to do that, too.
